Industrial Laser Module (ILM) 500
MDL's range of OEM Industrial Laser Modules (ILM) utilise invisible, naked eye-safe, pulsed time of flight technology to provide users with high speed distance, contactless, speed or height information to static or moving passive targets. The ILM-500 has a maximum reflectorless range of 500 metres and a 600 metre range when used with a highly reflective target. Data rates from 2 Hz to 4,000 Hz are available with a range of electrical and data output formats to suit most applications.
|R||Standard rangefinder ||The ILM-R (range) variant is designed specifically to measure the distance between the laser module and a static target.|
The key difference between the ILM-R and the other laser module variants is the output rate of 9 Hz being the average of 20 individual measurements, providing a stable measurement.
|T||Camera trigger / proximity sensor||ILM-T (trigger) variant is designed specifically to provide a trigger to a device such as a camera, when an object is detected within the calibration range.|
The key difference between the ILM-T and the other laser module variants is the capability to provide a trigger output within a customisable range.
|HR||High repetition||The ILM-HR (high repetition) variant is designed specifically to measure the distance between the laser module and a moving target.|
The key difference between the ILM-HR and the other laser module variants is the output rate being 400 Hz consisting of 400 individual measurements.
Applications include, surveying, range finding laser scanning, collision avoidance, speed measurement, altimetry and camera triggering. All units have a number of accessories and options to suit a wide range of environmental conditions and installations.
Single or multiple sensors may be configured to output vehicle profiles, axle counting and over height detection for dimensional measurements.
